Wonderful set of THREE vintage, oil painted canvas, handmade artist cloth dolls
An old fashioned American dolly family. Oil painted features and style these. Artist made, canvas and muslin cloth. Dolls are extremely hard to find as they were not made in abundant quantities and probably very few in numbered editions. Both of the smaller dolls have only painted initials and numbers for identification.
They are each marked: BNP-02. All the heads, lower legs and lower arms are finely oil painted. Amazingly detailed and oil painted faces.
The two smaller dolls each measure about 11 tall and have. Blue eyes and one has. Brown eyes and the children both have nicely painted hair. The largest doll (measuring 20 tall) wears a charming long, light red and white printed plaid cotton prairie-style dress with long sleeves, long pantaloons and has painted black shoes.
They have, oil painted, cloth hands with individually stitched fingers and separate thumbs and shaped feet and painted shoes. The girl wears a similar blue printed cotton, prairie style, lined dress, pantaloons and lace trimmed mob cap. The boy has similar details and wears a handsomely styled, hounds tooth suit with separate lace collar and cloth shoes. In perfect condition with no damages or holes, no stains and no odors as they are from a smoke free collection.
