SINGER 160991 Swiss ZigZagger ZigZag Attachment Featherweight 221 222 201 15
Listed for your consideration is this complete and all original Swiss made Singer Zig Zag Attachment Set 160991. This wonderfully preserved vintage Zig Zag set has been fully tested and works perfectly, just as it did when it departed the Singer Factory in Switzerland many years ago. At the center of the 160991 set is the Singer Zig Zagger. This attachment was engineered and built to last several lifetimes. This particular attachment is in amazing condition with absolutely no corrosion or wear on any of the cast metal components, and the Bakelite shroud is free of cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs and sports a great Singer inked moniker with no fading or discoloration.
The same can be said of the design cam mounting knob and stitch length adjustment knob. The attachment has been thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and lubricated with Liberty Oil Products clear nonstaining sewing machine lubricant. As previously stated, this Swiss Zig Zag attachment has been performance tested and runs flawlessly on vintage Singer models 15, 16, 66, 99, 99K, 201, 222, and Featherweight 221, 221K, and any other Singer low shank machine. This set will stitch 11 zig zag patterns, one basic stitch with no installed cam, and 10 decorative stitch patterns using the design cams. The included original Swiss Singer, non reproduction cam set is in fantastic shape, with easily visible factory numerical imprint stamp and pattern illustration stamp on each design cam. The 10 cams are housed in the original undamaged Bakelite tray with great numerical ink stamps, and the acrylic slide cover is also present and in good order. Also included is the original feed dog cover plate and mounting screw in excellent vintage condition with zero corrosion of the metal. The mounting screw threads are in excellent condition, however the flat head slot on the screw head shows superficial wear from normal use of the feed dog cover plate.This wear does not affect the mounting of the plate or the function of the attachment or cover plate. All of the 160991 Zig Zag Set's components come housed in Singers beautiful designed Bakelite case which is adorned with a recessed metal Singer logo badge in the lid's center. The included case is also in excellent condition with absolutely no defects, fractures, chips, or breaks, and no repairs of any kind.
Also, the original factory inking on the lid is presented beautifully with strong unfaded black ink. It is truly a magnificent Bakelite Swiss Singer Collector's grade box for an equally magnificent 160991 Set. To round out the listing is an item rarely seen with these kits in factory original inclusion. The product manual is an original printing. It is not a reproduction or homemade copy, but an original press of the book.
It is printed in the Spanish language, and is in good shape with no missing or ripped pages, and shows good color on the cover and back. The booklet does have two folds running top to bottom, and look to be caused by storing the manual folded around the Bakelite case.
