The glazing is full 1/8 Museum Grade plexiglass that is 99% UV filtering (made by Tru Vue). Everything used would be true Museum Grade framed in our studio. Before I describe the framed collection, know that the glare you see on the Rhode Island colonial note is from being archivally encasulated in clear mylar AND can easily be removed using a pair of scissors.

NO tapes, glues or any adhesives were used in mounting the notes. All are protected in the mylar and can be reversible. This is the same material the Library of Congress and National Archives uses to protect their documents. This custom framed set represents colonial currency from all 13 original colonies.

The notes are in average condition as shown in the pictures. If you need more pictures, please let me know. These notes were framed by my business, Museum Framing, using the best framing materials to protect these notes. The framed ensemble will measure approx. 28" x 36" (give or take a few inches).

Please inquire should you have any questions or concerns. All items will be easily removed from frame. No tapes, glues, or adhesives will be used. In 1989, when other framing businesses he patronized failed to meet his expectations for true conservation framing, Rick started his framing business, known as Museum Framing , to properly frame his collection and inventory.

He believed that framing should be performed according to strict preservation standards using archival techniques and materials. Why pay a framer to ruin your item? Well, that's what you do when majority of framing establishments treat a historical collectible like a poster! I had to learn the hard way before I jumped into learning conservation framing 30 years ago. Shortly after, we offered our services to other dealers and collectors we met and knew through collecting circles.

In addition to dealers and collectors, Museum Framing also frames for museums, galleries, federal and state government agencies and the public. Please check our framing reviews of "Museum Framing" under Yelp and Google. We offer real wholesale prices to collectors and dealers due to our background.

Timeline wise, Rick started as a collector in 1974, then a dealer in 1981 and, eventually, owning an archival framing business since 1989. We do this through our new ecommerce site.
