Lionel Postwar 2328 Burlington Gp7 Freight Set # 1531 All Original
A great starter set as well as terrific for Christmas tree set-up. No box, no track, no transformer. Lionel GP 7 Burlington Diesel Locomotive #2328 has factory Magnetraction and runs very well, quite strong. Cab lights and headlight light up. Engine oiled and wheels cleaned. Typical crack at front body case screw. Horn makes vague noise when I put a D battery in battery box (see pic #8). Probably needs cleaning/adjustment because these older DC horns usually develop issues. Fair amount of scratches on cab's silver paint (see photo # 6) Train is 64 years old after all! Red base, ornamental horns and handrails all in good condition. Lionel 6462 Red NYC Gondola with 6 barrel load, bar end trucks, working magnetic couplers.
Lionel 6456 Lehigh Valley 2 bay Hopper with coal load, bar end trucks, working magnetic couplers. Lionel 6465 Sunoco Double Dome Tank Car, bar end trucks, working magnetic couplers.
Lionel 6257 Lionel Caboose, bar end trucks, working magnetic coupler. First 4 pictures taken on my layout that was featured in Classic Toy Trains Magazine, March of 2018, pages 38 - 43! Weighs 8 pounds including packing materials. Barrels are correct size/type original Lionel but all don't match exactly in color and texture. Coal load is an added item, not original to car in set.
