VERY ELUSIVE SECOND YEAR MINT SET--- ORIGINAL 23 PIECE 1948, MINT SET, ORIGINAL MINT CARDBOARD. For your consideration this listing is for a tough to find, 1948, complete 23-piece, U. Mint set in original triplicate Mint issued cardboard.

This is only the second year that the treasury issued Mint sets. The first year being 1947. Please see our other rare coins, currency and jewelry.

Please be advised when coins are graded by either of the two top grading services in the country, either NGC or PCGS the grades given by them are consistent with the industry accepted norm. They do not, however guarantee that there are no marks on the coin at all. Just that the coin is accurately graded.
