1991 Topps Desert Shield Partial Set! There are a four cards that get repeated which means you get a doubleGeorge Bell, Alex Fernandez, Greg Vaughn, and Todd Ziele.
You get Chipper Jones, Ken Griffey Junior, Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken, Greg Maddux, Don Mattingly, Roger Clemens, Frank Thomas, Ozzie Smith, George Brett, Ryne Sandberg, Wade Boggs, Rickey Henderson, just to name a few Hall of Famer's. These cards are in excellent condition, especially being brought back by soldiers after desert storm. The back of the Mark McGwire card at the bottom has a few stain marks. In this partial set there have been 16 that have been through authentication and have been graded by either PSA or BGS. Chipper Jones, Cal Ripken, Ken Griffey Junior, Greg Maddux, Kirby Puckett, Barry Bonds x2, Don Mattingly, Frank Thomas, Nolan Ryan, Bo Jackson, Randy Johnson, Carlton Fisk, Dwight Gooden, John Smoltz, and Curt Schilling.
The only authenticate single cards. These cards whether they were stars or benchwarmers are gonna be worth something and worth a heck of a lot more than the topps premier line the Tiffany. I also put X2 if it's a double. My father bought this from an ex- Marine that was in desert storm. My dad picked out or chose the ones that might have some value someday. Have I added some more cards along the way absolutely.When I found these there was only 115 cards, so yes I've had to add to make the set at least respectable. These are as legit as legit can be and my feedback will attest to my honesty. I've had collector after collector, look at the cards, and tell me that they are legit.
I've got major OCD so when I remembered that my father had bought this partial set, I obsessively read blog after blog, looked at picture every picture of the emblem or shield. And the 8.5 + POP 36 grade Chipper doesn't hurt either. But you make up your mind.
